Nah snake, anyone can host a server, even if their connection speed is crappy. This happened to me too, huntly. Do you have windows XP by any chance?

Yea I have Windows XP, I remember reading your post a while ago saying your server wasn't appearing when you host so how did you fix it?
And Snake although T1/T3 are superb, I'm sure I could host with my connection, after all if it worked when I had 56k I'm sure it can only get better with broadband ;D

guys trust me on this! if you have a low upload speed, then is not worth trying. I tryed already many times. I tryed when my upload speed was 168 Kbps with my old DSL. OMG yeah the server showed up but then when people join it would just FREZE up! lol ;D Then Finally I got cable connection. GOD Bless the 384 Kbps of upload! works way good exept the joiner lags we always had before I order us the T3 servers. So trust me guys you need 300 Kbps + of upload to have a server running. Good luck Huntly!
