This is an area in which we can talk about our computer problems, because it's obvious that after two weeks, your $3,000 computer is obsolete and sucking hard, long c0ck -- but that's only when it's not crashing and losing your files. So post, post, and post s'more, because you know that the "America Online has encountered a problem and needs to close" windows is just around the corner!

yea, this ones probly for dark and fellow map makers out there... the map maker tool thing is unstable! e.g. if u go on brush mode and then say apply objects it has to close and u cant save ur work. VERY ANNOYINGespecially when i spend 4 hours on a masterpiece... so basically as i learnt the hard way... save often

It is very unstable and crashes a lot, especially when importing .OBJ models from Alias software... I stopped using it months ago when I realized that my favorite modeling program (Maya) couldn't be used with DEdit or any of the other avp2 programs because of this problem. The sucky thing is, Maya can be used to make games too (LucasArts uses it for all of their new Star Wars games), but it requires too much manual coding.

presonally im a fan of 3dsmax (3D Studio Max). But maya and 3dsmax are like potato and patato no real difference... hey dark, if ur reading this or anyone who knows how to get my map editor working, elp me. i ran the unrez.bat file and i go into the map editor and it still cant find the module class object.rez file... this means i cant make triggers, cant make doors open, cant make sounds, cant apply textures, cant do shit basically so plz elp me
