When I try to open any of my folders like my computer or my documents I get this message; "Dr.Watson Postmortem Debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for any inconvenience" Does anyone know what this means or how to fix it?

Huntly, it sounds as if some of your system files, as well as your avp2 directory files, are corrupt -- especially because Dr. Watson (the little window that pops up after a program freezes that says it's f*cked up and needs to close) hardly crashes. After all, it is a debugger. Anyway, there are two things you need to do:
1) Pop in the Windows XP install CD and REPAIR THE SYSTEM FILES. DON'T REFORMAT THE HARD DRIVE B/C YOU'LL LOSE ALL YOUR STUFF. Just REPAIR.
2) After that, re-install avp2 (or even repair the files, if the setup allows it).
After doing all this your files shouldn't be corrupt anymore and everything will be fine and dandy ;D Hope this helps!

One of my dad's mates came round to have a look, he reckons I never had an install disk and all the shit that should be on that disk is actually stored on my computer, but even if thats true I still can't open any folders to get to it >.<
On the plus side though my AvP is working again this morning ;D

What you need to do is either pirate a copy of Windows or go out and buy one for $100. It's not too expensive.
